1. Cutting and cleaning

A pipe cutting knife is used in the cutting process. When cutting the pipes, some ridges are produced around the inner wall of it, and they are called ridges, and these ridges must be removed.

Before using the pipe on one of the fittings, the end must be cleaned in preparation for making multiple connections with other pipes.

As for the capillary parts, we cannot cut them with a pipe-cutting knife due to the small diameter of the capillary, so they are cut by making a notch with the radiator pin in the capillary, then they are bent and straightened in the place of the slot until they are cut.

 

 

 

2 – swaging

 

When two pipes with the same diameter are to be welded together, one of them is expanded so that the other can fit into it, then they are welded. The process of expanding the pipe is called tamping. A set of tampers of different diameters is used in expanding the pipes, depending on the pipes, and a vice to install the pipes. The hammer is hammered on the tamper inside the pipe. There are two types of tamping sets. It is a single saddle with graduated diameters.

There is also another type with a screwdriver handle, whereby the vice is controlled and the hand is rotated, so that the blacksmith falls completely inside the pipe, and the diameter of any pipe that is unknown can be determined using the vice.

3 – Flare

 

 When it is intended to connect a tube to a jug hose, or to connect a tube to another tube via a connector rather than welding, or when it is intended to connect any unit that has a screw end via a nut, the nut must first be installed in the tube, then a flange is made at the end of the tube so that the nut is attached to the other part. Which has screws in such a way that the bank is blocked between them, and this is called making a flare. This is done by installing the tube in the vice, then installing the part that makes the flange, which is called the clamp, which is a drawn part that presses on the tube by turning the hand.

Welding with oxygen and acetylene gas is called lamp welding

Welding with butane gas is called mullet or bash mullet welding.
